We will have the Avaya application open while running the wallboard.

Will still add the code you suggested, just in case it crashes. Does it mean that if the server crashes/inactive, it wont have the server name? or server name = [blank] / null?

I'm not sure I don't have access to the application to check any more. it will be either null or nothing or "". Check it by using the intermediate window and a watch expression.
