VBA and ActiveX will not run on Excel 64bits. There is no way around it. You should uninstall Excel 64 and replace with 32 bits if you want to use advanced VBA scripts. 64 bits is only useful if you have larger sets of data to crunch in something like pivot tables other than that it is inferior to 32 bits. That is why many organization don't use 64 bits especially if they have macros and adins to run.
We still use 32 and all my clients I advice not to install 64bits whenever they upgrade systems.
